Photography is about perspective, challenging the images we take for granted as effective mediators and representations of our sensory experiences and memories. In today’s digital infosphere, where communication through photographs is about to supersede the written language, it is more important than ever to be reminded of the limitations and complex abstract qualities that make up the nature of photography as a language for all. The lingua franca of our century.
In this volume the editors have directed bold questions to 30 contemporary photographers, all ending with: Why Photography?
