MELK vil vise et nytt videoarbeid av Oscar Qvale under tittelen Listen to the Heart of Darkness.

Qvale arbeider filmatisk og henter inspirasjon fra post-apokalyptiske scener. Listen to the Heart of Darkness er den tredje i en serie videoarbeid der de samme karakterene opptrer i et post-apokalyptisk science-fiction narrativ basert på dokumentarisk råmateriale.

Oscar Qvale (f.1985) mottok Bachleor i Fine Art fra Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (HGB) og Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen avd. fotografi i 2010 og er for tiden masterstudent ved Kunstakademiet i Oslo.

Galleriet vil holde åpent lør. – søn. 12-16 i utstillingsperioden.

Qvale works with a cinematic language and draws inspiration from post-apocalyptic scenes. Listen to the Heart of Darkness is the third in a series of video- works in which the same characters appear in a post-apocalyptic science-fiction narrative based on a documentary raw material.

Oscar Qvale (b.1985) received his BA in Fine Art from Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig (HGB) and Bergen National Academy of the Arts in 2010 and is currently a MA student at the Oslo Academy of Fine Art.
